Consort Auditions!

5th Graders! If you took one of the pink packets the other week and are interested in recorder ensemble, auditions are THIS WEEK! I'll be here after school on Tuesday and Thursday until 3:45 to hear what you've prepared from the audition pieces.

Don't worry if you haven't figured a whole song out. I promise, its okay! :) I want to know that you have the initiative to look at something on your own and give it your best shot. Independent is our goal, but I realize you've never heard the songs before. I've recorded myself playing both pieces so you can hear how it sounds all together. Again, don't worry about perfection. This group is a team and we all work together to figure things out and support each other!

I'll make decisions Friday morning and pass out letters to selected students on Friday afternoon. There isn't a set number I'm taking - it all depends on how auditions go. Remember this group isn't just about recorder though, we will be preparing duet pieces and adding percussion parts as well. You won't be playing ONLY recorder. ;)
