"Hooked on Books"

4th grade students have been diligently refining their recorder skills over the last few months. Combining recorder and children's literature, they will bring these stories to life with melodies and dramatization. Stories include: Caps for Sale, Mortimer, and Old Black Fly.

Our performance will be Thursday, February 8th at 6:30 in the Wilson Gym. We look forward to having you join us!

Students are receiving a note home on Tuesday, January 16. A one-week reminder will go home as well. Digital versions of these notes can be found here.

Show Info

Wildcats need to meet in their classrooms at 6:15. Students need to wear jeans and a Wildcat shirt if they have one. If you don't have a Wildcat shirt, wear a blue top.

Click on the title to play along and practice at home. All three of the duets pieces are here as well as the lyrics for Old Black Fly. Click below for YouTube videos of me playing each part and full tracks to play along with.

Play Alongs

Play along at home! The YouTube videos play each part so you can hear what your individual line sounds like. Then, try playing along with the accompaniment track just like we will do in performance
